The rain came pouring down but this didn’t dampen their day. We started with the bridal preparations and then went on to St. Peter’s Church in Ruddington. It was a lovely ceremony. Lindsey and Peter are a great couple who despite all the rain drops kept smiling throughout the day. A big red double decker picked up the guests as well as myself and took us to the Park Plaza in Nottingham. I would like to thank Brian, my lovely husband, for second shooting with me and Lindsey and Peter for being great sports  especially with our attempts to get shots at the Nottingham Castle. The last shot says it all with Lindsey ‘Singing in the Rain’.

Last Friday I photographed Jackie and Peter’s wedding. It was a lovely affair, small,  personal and emotional. I started at the house with the bridal preparations then onto Mansfield Registry Office and finally to Santo’s Higham Farm. As we drove towards Higham Farm the black clouds were gathering in the distance and the wind whipped up and became pretty gusty. Hold onto your hats!!! Higham is located at the top of a hill overlooking the spectacular Amber Valley so I was anxious to get the shots before the inevitable downpour. Luckily I managed to get them.

Had a fantastic day helping Crash of Crash Taylor Photography to shoot Claire and Steve’s wedding at Woodborough Hall. They were a lovely couple who were up for almost anything. We had a fun time documenting the day. Here are some of my images.

I enjoy taking reportage, candid, natural shots at a wedding as I feel it captures the true emotions of the day. Shooting unobtrusively is the key. A few weeks ago Crash Taylor of Crash Taylor Photography asked me to help him out at a wedding firstly at St. Edward King & Martyr Church in Castle Donnington and then at the beautiful location of Thrumpton Hall. Here are a few of my favourites of the day.

I have just returned from a two day photographic workshop hosted by The Flash Centre at Studley Castle. It was such an inspirational time and I am still buzzing from the experience which was awsome. It was led by Mike Larson, an International Wedding Photographer from California, who demonstrated to us how natural light could be enhanced by using the California sunbounce in order to make images pop out. He exudes passion for what he does which came across by his enthusiasm to share it with us. As well as Mike there were other mini workshops and one that wowed me was led by Adam Duckworth who is a strobist genius.  I am always learning and the two days have definitely taken me to another level. Thank you to all involved.

On Sunday I helped James Russell of James Russell Photography with a wedding up in Cheshire. We could not have asked for a better day. The weather was super and romance was in the air.

Had a fun time yesterday photographing Emily at Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire, with photographer friends Crash Taylor and Will Pateman. We were blessed with the weather - coats off, cameras at the ready and we got down to creating images.

What a beautiful day for a bridal shoot last Sunday morning. We were at Mayfield House in Long Eaton with bridal dresses from Baroque Couture and flowers from The Flower Mill in Draycott. Jane and Louise, the models, did a grand job. Mayfield House is holding a wedding fayre on Sunday 31st May so, brides and grooms-to-be get yourselves there. Here are a couple of images that were taken.

Last Sunday I was asked by Christina Savage to help her out at Claire and Tony’s wedding at Morley Hayes in Derbyshire. It was a lovely wedding. I thoroughly enjoyed the day shooting candid shots….standing back and capturing moments in time which are simply priceless. Thought I would share a few images with you.
