Hello and welcome to my blog. It is now in it's second year. Many fantastic photo shoots have come and gone - weddings, portraits, travel and in my personal life. We have met and worked with some wonderful people along the way. Looking forward to the busy year ahead and to sharing with you our work along the way.

Enjoy my blog and please feel free to comment.

Always wanted to do a shoot in a junk yard. It offered loads of potential for interesting imagery. Maria Tanner and myself photographed the lovely models Elijah and Andreia as well as Elijah’s cousin who came to help. Thank you to Josine for doing a great job with the make up.

Photographed a super wedding firstly in Scunthorpe then at Hemswell Court, Hemswell Cliff in Lincolnshire. The day could not have been better with perfect weather. A huge contrast from the day before. We started with the preparations with myself going to the hair dressers and Brian to a golf club. A nice and relaxed start. It was a very enjoyable event with lots of things going on. Check out the ‘mad’ bouncy castle images. Such a laugh.

It has been a while since I have updated my blog. Been soooo busy with weddings. Mike and Kirstie’s wedding was the wettest wedding we have done so far but that did not deter them or us. The day was such a happy and loving one. It went without a hitch. When the rain stopped we were out there documenting the day. Mike’s relatives came out from South Africa and couldn’t believe the hot weather us Brits were having until that Saturday. We had a great time photographing Mike and Kirstie and their guests. Have a fantastic time on honeymoon in South Africa and we’ll see you when you return.

It is nearly here, four more days to go. Can’t wait to photograph the wedding. The locations are beautiful. The Church at Marston on Dove and then onto Repton Hall. We did a few pre wedding shots a couple of weeks back when we met up for their pre wedding consultation in order to get them relaxed in front of the camera. They did well and now for their big day……

A couple of weekends ago I did a fabulous commercial shoot for The Dressing Room, Draycott at the Cathedral Quarter Hotel in Derby. For brides out there The Dressing Room has a wonderful choice of designer bridal dresses, bridesmaids dresses and accessories. As well as  beautiful dresses they, also, have an excellent reputation for providing exceptional service to the client. The Cathedral Quarter Hotel provided a grand backdrop for the shoot. Located in Derby, it is a hidden gem for wedding receptions very near to the Cathedral.

I had a fabulous time today with fellow photographer friends on the Embankment in Nottingham. Maria Tanner of Lace Market Photography organised the shoot with beautiful Olga. We could not have asked for a better day and location. Thank you to Olga as this was her first time modeling in front of the camera. You wouldn’t have known it as she was such a natural.

What a beautiful day it turned out to be. The weather last Saturday was threatening heavy rain throughout the week but suddenly it shifted to the day before. What luck. The sun came out for Dan and Jess. Brian and I were at The New  Bath Hotel in Matlock. We had such a fabulous day photographing them and their guests. Here are some of my favourites I would like to share with you.

A few weeks back we met up with Gillian and Stephen to go over their wedding plans and in particular to go through the photography for their day. I always like to include a small photo shoot. This way they can get used to the camera and my way of shooting. We had a good time in Wollaton Park although it was so cold! They are a great couple. We are so looking forward to photographing their wedding at the end of May. Good luck with the rest of the preparations.

A week away in lovely, beautiful, Pembrokeshire. ‘Billy’ the bus, a Volkswagen Devon  camper, was loaned to us by friends. Absolutely fantastic. We spent most of the week in the outdoors as the weather was superb. Pembrokeshire is a photographer’s dream. The landscape and seascapes are out of this world. As usual myself and Brian were photographing almost non stop and enjoying every minute of it. Here is a snippet of the images taken.

Yesterday myself and Brian joined fellow photographers Maria Tanner and Crash Taylor in Nottingham to do a model portfolio shoot around the Lace Market. The morning started off misty but the light was good. I shot mainly in Manual using Pocket Wizards and off camera flash. Whilst shooting, the model’s boyfriend joined us so we could not resist taking shots of him. To add to the collection we came across a guy who was practicing his ‘keepy uppy’ with a football. It made a good photo.
