As a professional I specialise in wedding photography and portraiture capturing moments in time that are priceless. In my private life my love is in travel with my husband, Brian, photographing weird and wonderful places and people.

A Happy New 2010 Year to you. We had a fabulous time over Christmas at our friend’s house in the Gascony region of France. For the majority of the time the weather was lovely, blue skies and sunshine but pretty cold. We had a couple days of snow so I thought I would share with you the French version of snowy, wintery landscapes. And, yes, the sky was that colour.  Enjoy.

Last month saw the last of the weddings for this year. Kerry and Steve were a couple who attended another wedding which we photographed earlier this year. They were a great couple who were up for having fun. Here are a few of my favourite images of their day.

Hayley is a bride from a wedding we photographed a couple of years ago. She wanted to wear her dress again so we did a fun photo session at a studio. Here is my favourite image.

They say in this beautiful profession referrals are one of best ways to promote wedding photography. Kate was a bridesmaid at a wedding  Brian and I photographed last year so I was delighted when she asked us to photograph her wedding. Kate and Wayne’s wedding was held at the Goosedale Conference and Banqueting Centre. The weather was true to its forecast … heavy rains at first, clearing up later with a few wet spells. With the rain clearing the atmosphere, we had some fantastic light in the afternoon which I endeavoured to capture in between courses.  It was good to have a bride and groom who were up for it especially on such a mixed day. Here are a few of my favourite images.

Wedding Photographer based in the East Midlands serving Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, Lincolnshire, Leicestershire and further, nationally as well as internationally.

Earlier this month we had the pleasure to photograph Penny and Gordon’s wedding at the West Bridgford Registry Office and then at the Welbeck Banqueting Hall, West Bridgford. They are such a lovely couple, full of joy and laughter and full of love for each other. It was a very touching ceremony, even I had a tear in my eye! The first sequence of images I really love as Penny “just wanted to get to Gordon”. We wish you all the best for your future together.

Been so busy so I am way behind with updating my blog. Since the last wedding I have been assisting other photographers as well as photographing Jackie and Adrian’s wedding at West Bridgford Registry Office then at The Beeches Hotel around the corner.
Off to Yervant’s three day seminar down in London this week. Really looking forward to that.

A lovely couple who were a pleasure to photograph. Myself and Brian had a fabulous day at Helmswell Court in Lincolnshire for the second time in one weekend. The weather was fabulous, the day was mellow. The images say it all … the first with Graham looking into a mirror at the front of the ceremony room. His first sight of Alison as she walked with her dad down the aisle.

A couple of weeks ago I helped out Christina of Christina Savage Photography with a wedding in Plumtree, Nottingham. I started with the groomsmen at The Griffin, then went onto St. Mary the Virgin church and finally to The Carraigeway at Perkins Restaurant, all in Plumtree. Here are some of my favourite images of the day.

If you ever want a beautiful wedding dress, hand sewn and designed especially for you, Baroque Couture is the place to visit. An appointment with Elaina will make you feel special as she will give you her undivided attention. Her dresses are awesome. Yesterday we went to Draycott House to do a shoot for Baroque as they are having a combined article in Derbyshire Life. The light was amazing which showed off the red dress to it’s best … my favourite. Sarah had fun spinning around, catching the dress in the wind which was captured in this lovely image. Thought I would share it with you.

A week last Friday we photographed Fiona and Simon’s wedding at Hemswell Court in Lincolnshire. It was a day full of joy and laughter and fun. The evening was made memorable with the lighting of sky lanterns. Such a beautiful and emotional sight which should be experienced by everyone. As the lanterns filled with heat from the ignited fuel cell, they slowly rose up into the air. Fantastic! Have a great honeymoon you two.
